Liz

Liz feels that yoga can connect the mind and body to accomplish much more than you think you are capable to do.  Liz is the Owner, Manager and one of the Yoga Teachers at Sweet Peace Yoga.

Liz

After attending a course in 2010 “Therapeutic Yoga:  Bridging Ancient Practices with Traditional Therapy Techniques”.  Liz began her pursuit of additional training in yoga.  Now after completing Yoga Teacher Training in 2012, her passion is to help make yoga more accessible to individuals who may otherwise be intimidated by “Yoga”, feel that they are not flexible enough, or that they cannot be still long enough.   Liz feels that yoga can connect the mind and body to accomplish much more than you think you are capable to do.  With the immediate effects of calming the mind, reducing stress, strengthening and aligning the body, enhancing balance, and improving breathing just to name a few.   Liz is the Owner, Manager and one of the Yoga Teachers at Sweet Peace Yoga.

Michelle Bohnert

Michelle is not a stranger to Sweet Peace, she taught here back in 2016!! Michelle keeps her classes fun and upbeat, always reminding her students to leave their troubles at the door when they take off their shoes.

In 2013 Michelle completed her 200 hour Y.T.T. under the guidance of Emmet Schmelig through Prana Yoga in St.L


In 2015 Michelle decided to further her studies and earned her 300 hour Y.T.T. through Agape Yoga Studio STL.

Stephanie

Stephanie takes a mindful approach to exercise and is passionate about supporting others as they explore movement for themselves.

Stephanie takes a mindful approach to exercise and is passionate about supporting others as they explore movement for themselves. Her background has included teaching at barre3 and working with individuals one on one as a personal trainer. Her yoga practice has evolved over time to a gentle approach that is both empowering and introspective. Stephanie is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach certified through Anthropedia.

Paula’s classes center around the concept of moving from simple to complex poses, preparing the body along the way. Whether teaching an energetic vinyasa flow or a slower, more grounding practice,..

Paula’s classes center around the concept of moving from simple to complex poses, preparing the body along the way. Whether teaching an energetic vinyasa flow or a slower, more grounding practice, she strives to offer options and modifications in each class to suit all ability levels.

Maggie

Maggie has been an elementary teacher for nearly 15 years, so it was only natural to take her love of teaching and her desire to help individuals get the most out of every day and become a yoga teacher.

She completed Yoga Teacher Training in the Spring of 2022 and has enjoyed writing creative sequences that help yogi's of all levels unwind, build strength and take steps towards personal growth.  Peace, strength and self-worth were all gifts Maggie found while practicing yoga. 
She is excited to be a part of the Sweet Peace Yoga team of teachers when her schedule allows.

Madonna

Madonna is dedicated to creating a safe place to heal, grow, and transform through yoga.

Madonna understands firsthand the healing power of yoga on the mind, body, and spirit. In 2010, she received her training from the Kripalu Center and her Children’s yoga certification through Yoga to Grow. Madonna received her Ayurveda Certification from Kripalu in December 2013. Madonna is dedicated to creating a safe place to heal, grow, and transform through yoga.

Lynn

Lynn specializes in Hatha yoga, a gentle form of yoga with slow to medium paced classes that are challenging, fun and relaxing.

Lynny is a registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga to Grow instructor ages 3-11.  She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and fully embraces mindful living, and the mind, body and spirit of yoga. She enjoys sharing her yoga knowledge with adults and embracing her inner child teaching children. Lynn specializes in Hatha yoga, a gentle form of yoga with slow to medium paced classes that are challenging, fun and relaxing.  Her mottos are "Life is short...make fun of it."  And "Blessed are the flexible as they will not get bent out of shape!"

Rhonda

Rhonda strives to meet each person where they are with love and compassion.

The peace, calm and acceptance of self that Rhonda found on the yoga mat began to translate outside of the studio as she continued to pursue her practice.  In 2019, Rhonda completed Yoga Teacher Training while living in Seattle. Through a uniquely sequenced vinyasa flow set to music, Rhonda strives to meet each person where they are with love and compassion.


Amy Turk

Amy Turk is a licensed therapist dedicated to the improvement of people’s lives. She recently became a certified Yoga instructor to address the nervous system dysregulation which proves to be one of the biggest barriers to healing anxiety and depression.

Amy Turk is a licensed therapist dedicated to the improvement of people’s lives. She recently became a certified Yoga instructor to address the nervous system dysregulation which proves to be one of the biggest barriers to healing anxiety and depression. Born and raised in St. Louis, she has lived and worked in France as a French teacher. It was there that she realized how the work life balance many of us experience in American culture can be a big source of stress. The goal of her professional life has been to learn and teach healthy mental practices. Caring for ourselves mentally must happen in tandem with caring for ourselves physically. Amy has lived in Kirkwood since 2007 and currently practices mental health therapy here as well. She resides with her husband, 3 kids, dog Kevin and cat Lilac.

Nicki Hamrah

Nicki is a mom of 2 girls, St Louis native, former competitive gymnast, 200 hour yoga instructor, and newly trained Breathwork Facilitator.

Christa’s journey with yoga inspires her to share this practice with others so they can find the  healing, clarity, and peace yoga can provide.

Christa Stauder, E-RYT 200, YACEP found the healing power of yoga in 2008 when she took her first yoga class. She became certified as a yoga instructor in 2011 and also gained certifications in prenatal yoga and children’s yoga.  Christa began a prenatal yoga program at a local hospital in 2012 teaching not only prenatal yoga but coworker classes and mom and baby classes.  Christa is also a doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, level 1 & 2 Reiki instructor and an integrated health and nutrition coach.  She currently works for Optum Well-being as a health promotion specialist.  Christa’s journey with yoga inspires her to share this practice with others so they can find the  healing, clarity, and peace yoga can provide.

Cassie

Cassie offers students the chance to manifest their greatest intention and to connect yoga to life experiences.  Her style is rooted in spirituality & compassion.

The love of nature and energy drew Cassie to yoga.  Cassie completed her Yoga Certification with Sweet Peace Yoga in 2018.  Cassie offers students the chance to manifest their greatest intention and to connect yoga to life experiences.  Her style is rooted in spirituality & compassion.
